Alico, a leading Lebanese manufacturer of mattresses, furniture, and interior solutions, has more than 77 years of experience across Lebanon and the region. As part of its sustainability efforts, the company is moving forward with the development of a 276.8 kWp solar PV system coupled with 600 kWh of battery storage at its Bourj Hammoud facility.

Through the SoLR& Renewable Energy Fund, IM FNDNG supported the project’s assessment and financing process, contributing to the company’s efforts to enhance energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable energy. The proposed system is expected to cover approximately 38% of Alico’s electricity needs while reducing the company’s carbon footprint by more than 300 tons of CO₂ annually.
