Techne Summit is an international multi-industry focused Investment & Entrepreneurship event that aims to impact multiple sectors and stakeholders of the Startup Communities in The Mediterranean Region through showcasing different technologies and their application in each industry.
The 2020 Alexandria event brought together over 13,000 participants, 250+ speakers, 600+ startups, 70+ countries, 9 tracks, and 180+ investors.
This year, Alexandria Techne Summit was held as a Hybrid event on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of October 2021, at Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Dr. Nicolas Rouhana, General Manager of IM Ventures, was invited to participate as a guest speaker, along with other panelists, to the MED Roundtable titled “Beyond lockdowns: Cross-borders moving Forward”.
According to the OECD, 2020 saw a 42% drop in foreign direct investment from the year prior, especially in Europe where several countries faced large negative flows.
