Through IM Capital’s Emergency Relief Initiative, Ostaz Supports Students Affected by the Blast
In response to the tragic blast, increased support was vital to help students succeed, because education is the most powerful weapon.
Ensuring students have access to education is a key priority for Ostaz, the EdTech platform that connects learners to highly qualified private teachers. Being one of IM Capital’s portfolio companies under the USAID-funded Middle East and North Africa Investment Initiative (MENA II), Ostaz decided to offer free SAT courses, free preparation sessions for the Concours de Médecine and tutoring packages to students affected by the blast.
Through the من_قلبي_دعم_لبيروت# relief initiative launched by IM Capital and funded by USAID, they were able to offer 1,088 tutoring hours, 40 Med school prep sessions and 86 SAT prep sessions to 214 students, while creating 40 jobs.
