The con-fesse stools, in collaboration with Bokja and SPOCKDESIGN, prompted deep reflection on the timeless theme of "The Seven Deadly Sins." During an event held on Thursday, July 13 at Bokja Atelier, attendees were questioned about the potency of these sins in the modern world, challenging societal norms. The project evolved, shaped by each participant's interactions and confessions.
Rooted in tradition, the milk stool archetype represents simplicity and honesty. As attendees assemble the con-fesse stool, they confront their imperfections, fostering personal growth. A confessional room allowed guests to hang their modern sins, fostering unity and understanding.
The con-fesse stool, derived from the milk stool archetype, features intricate embroidery depicting the Seven Deadly Sins on each seat. Crafted with a fun assemblage of fabrics, every stool becomes a vibrant tapestry of colors and textures. Alternatively, some stool seats are made from upcycled truck canvases, transforming these once utilitarian materials into an artistic canvas for reflection.
Delicately crafted, each stool depicts Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride separately, encouraging visitors to confront these universal human traits.
