Startup Sales Bootcamp by Kent Summers
On June 1st 2017, the entrepreneurship scene in Beirut benefited from an intensive workshop delivered by Kent Summers. Organized by IM Capital and Berytech, the event took place at Berytech BDD 1294, gathering more than 50 entrepreneurs and sales professionals eager to make the best of their learnings.
Kent Summers, Trainer/Mentor at MIT VMS, teaches the B2B Startup Sales Bootcamp at Harvard Business School, the Wharton School of Business, and the MIT Sloan School of Management. The workshop is grounded in his professional expertise, having founded and sold three software companies in the Boston area. Since 2002, Kent has served as a trusted mentor to dozens of MIT start-ups. In the 3-hour sessions, Kent Summers covered the B2B sales process, end-to-end. The workshop combined lecture and interactive exercises supported by anecdotal evidence from 25+ years of real-world sales situations. Attendees also practiced by trouble-shooting “failed sales” case studies and recommend corrective sales action or behavior based upon the lessons learned during the workshop.
The bootcamp resulted in excellent feedback from attendees who were hooked for a little more than 3 hours listening to “practical” real-world tools (not theories) for sales success to turn challenges into opportunities.
