Being one of IM Capital’s latest portfolio joiners, Reef Kinetics was created and designed to automate aquarium’s equipments and stabilize the chemistry of the water. The story started with a real passion and hobby for aquariums tells us Rabih Krayem, Reef Kinetics Managing Partner. Based in the co- working shared space of Antwork in Beirut, the team has now designed their 4^th prototype of the ReefBot, a device that has different purposes of watching, reporting and caring for the aquarium. The ReefBot runs reagent-based tests (Alkalinity, Calcium, Nitrate, Phosphate) and probe-based tests (Temperature, Ph, ORP, Conductivity and Dissolved Oxygen.) It monitors the aquarium by running the mentioned tests periodically, analyzing them, and then sending the client real-time updates via the mobile or web app that has been developed to simplify the whole process. The user friendly app allows the user to remotely monitor and control the ReefBot. Their Beta testing phase will be launched in a couple of months but they have already signed 2 major agreements with the biggest aquarium players in the States and Europe respectively.
