On Friday April 28, IM Capital visited its newest ecosystem partner, Antwork, an innovative co-working space located behind the walls of a traditional mansion in the heart of Beirut. The team presented IM Capital’s services to the Antwork community of investors and entrepreneurs, explaining the matching capital component, the equity guarantee one, as well as the Fund’s support programs.               A special focus was given to highlight the Angel Investing support program, Seeders Masterclass for Business Angels (Seeders MBA). Starting with a definition of angel funding as opposed to Venture Capital Funding, the team pinpointed an existing funding gap in the country, which is usually filled by business angels. Seeders MBA aims to democratize angel investing, graduating batches of qualified business angels, and ultimately gathering them in a network that will become an important player in the Lebanese entrepreneurial landscape as it will fill an equity gap at both funding and sector level by injecting smart money in early stage high risk ventures. Seeders MBA 2016-17 is a few months away from concluding and graduating a group of 26 qualified angel investors, with the graduation date set for July 7.
