ArabNet Beirut 2017, the leading conference on digital business in the Levant took place on February 20-22, 2017. In its 8^th edition, the conference brought together over 1,300 corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and investors, in an ideal gathering for leaders looking to explore and support digital innovation. Portfolio Tech Accelerator Speed@BDD demonstrated outstanding presence in the Startup Battle, where five out of the ten competing startups were Speed startups. More importantly, the top two winners were also Speed startups with Vision In Motion ranking first, and Synkers ranking second. The Startup Battle competition aims to showcase the best of regional startups to an enthusiastic crowd of investors, incubators, media and digital professionals, as well as connect entrepreneurs with the digital world. Vision in Motion offers an advanced software-based solution that allows businesses to monitor, track, and analyze their customers’ behavioral patterns. Synkers is a mobile platform that instantaneously connects students seeking help in a specific subject to private tutors Speed@BDD is currently in the process of finalizing the selection of startups for the 4^th acceleration cycle, due to be launched in March 2017.
