The Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) was held in Saudi Arabia, with more than 180 countries, taking part from March 27 till March 30, 2022.

The event took place in Riyadh under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), in collaboration with the Global Entrepreneurship Network.

Attendees discussed the economic challenges facing the global entrepreneurial environment, exchange experiences, seize investment opportunities and extract the lessons learned from the challenges of the pandemic.

The GBAN (Global Business Angels Network) Summit was held during the Global Entrepreneurship Congress on Monday March 28, 2022, in Riyadh, KSA. IM Capital being a member of GBAN, Nicolas Rouhana, Chairman & CEO, was invited to be a voice at the roundtable to speak about the angel network and/or ecosystem of Lebanon.

During this Summit, investors from the GEN Invest and Global Business Angels Network (GBAN) communities came together to share news about their investment ecosystems, explore the changing cross-border investment landscape, and discuss how individual investors and business angel networks are building investment capacity in their regions.

The GBAN Board kicked-off the GBAN Summit with a Davos-style roundtable and began with continental updates on angel ecosystems across Africa, Europe, North America, Latin America, and India/Asia respectively. Following each regional presentation, Dr. Rouhana was called to give a national brief on the Lebanese angel ecosystem.
