On May 22, 2019, USAID Middle East Bureau Assistant Administrator Michael Harvey met with USAID-assisted young entrepreneurs and angel investors through implementing partner IM Capital, to learn more about Lebanon’s investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem and the importance of USAID’s investment and technical assistance to bring innovative ideas to life.

The entrepreneurs voiced challenges that startups and entrepreneurs face in Lebanon, and highlighted the emerging tech sector in Lebanon and opportunities for growth and development through this new venture capital sector.

Were present from Seeders Angel Investors: Lina Hallab, Fadi Yazbeck, Paola Rizkallah, and IM Capital portfolio entrepreneurs: Soumaya Merhi (TAQA), Rima Yaacoub (MAD), Manal Hakim (GeekExpress).

Mr. Harvey also visited the offices of Meacor, Makerbrane and
SpeedLebanon seed accelerator .
