Matching Capital in a Lebanese Movie Production
On July 31, 2015, IM Capital signed the co-financing Agreement with Fantascope Production Company, represented by Producer/Director Philippe Aractingi, matching new outside capital to fund a long feature film. “JOUD” (provisional movie title), is a sensual yet funny love story set in Beirut. It tells the story of Joud, a passionate sound engineer that lives an impossible love with Mada. In the turbulent context of today Lebanon, the aim of the movie is to go against the current stream and the region turmoil to tell a positive story of hope and sensuality that will be the echo of the Lebanese youth desires. The movie will also reflect the nightlife of the Lebanese young generation, the struggle between social classes, and the liveliness of summer in Beirut.
As job creation and youth involvement, the cast of “Joud” will include around 7 mains actors and 53 secondary actors; the filming team includes 25 to 30 professionals.
