Manal Hakim, Founder & CEO of Geek Express - one of IM Capital's portfolio companies - has been selected as a fellow of the Cartier Women's Initiative 2021 for the Middle East & North Africa.

The Cartier Women’s Initiative is an annual international entrepreneurship program that aims to drive change by empowering women impact entrepreneurs. Manal is one of the 24 finalists selected among 876 applicants from 142 countries.

In the MENA region, there’s a STEM skills shortage, and in the Middle East, academic qualifications in engineering, computer science and IT are some of the most sought after by employers. Today, Geek Express guides students every step of the way, providing them with a learning journey through live online coding sessions, gamified experiences, and DIY kits, and empowering them to develop essential skills through STEM learning.
