The Womenpreneur Tour, a joint project of SANAD Entrepreneurship Academy and Womenpreneur Organization funded by the SANAD Technical Assistance Facility , completed its 2022 tour with an event held on July 19 in Beirut. The tour was created to highlight the female talents in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the MENA region. In 2022, the tour visited these female entrepreneurs in Algeria, Egypt, and Lebanon.

The Womenpreneur Tour Event in Lebanon brought together female entrepreneurs, investors, business development professionals and ecosystem stakeholders to discuss female entrepreneurship, innovation, crisis management and resilience. Participants of the event highlighted the challenges and needs of female-led businesses, when it comes to funding, political reforms, and sustainable solutions during several panels.

Kamkalima's Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Nisrine El Makkouk, participated in the Womenpreneur Tour Event in Beirut with other five women panelists.

Kamkalima’s First Internship Program
In collaboration with Forward MENA, Kamkalima launched its first internship programme by welcoming nine young people for a 12-week programme across different departments.

Forward MENA is part of the “Skilling Up Lebanon” project, which is funded by the World Bank aiming to equip the youth with market relevant digital skills to prepare them for the local, regional and global jobs of the future.

The First-Ever Arabic Tone Detector
Students can now check the tone of their Arabic writing on Kamkalima! Other features include a vocabulary suggestion tool for students, a more advanced search engine for teachers, and a time filter across past years for admins.
