IM Ventures Joins LIFE Paris Chapter’s 2nd Pitch Night for Lebanese Entrepreneurs
After last year's successful pitch night, LIFE Paris Chapter hosted its 2nd pitch night on Monday, April 29, 2024, for Lebanese entrepreneurs based in Europe, in collaboration with Cedars Tech. The event took place in Paris where potential investors, LIFE members, invitees, and founders of the selected startups connected. IM Ventures was represented by Dr. Nicolas Rouhana, Chairman and CEO, and Edward Melki, Senior Investment Manager.
The event, which was very well attended, presented four exceptional Lebanese-founded startups based in Europe: AquaSmartXL, which provides maritime asset digitization services for the commercial ports; Equito, a PropTech that gives investors the opportunity to invest in real estate from EUR100; LAP, an innovative coffee chain based in Berlin; and Wyes, a company that develops smart glasses allowing people with complete body paralysis to communicate using their eyes.
Selected startups delivered their pitches after the event's keynote speaker Abir Mahfouz talked about her journey as Founder of Invigo. IM Ventures' team connected directly with the designated startups and also explored opportunities with LIFE Executives on potential funding structures enabling investors and IM to collaborate further in raising funds and investing in promising startups founded by Lebanese entrepreneurs, with a foothold in Lebanon.
