IM FNDNG participates in the Ministry of Agriculture’s national assignment on the sector’s Investment and Sustainability strategy

IM FNDNG was pleased to participate in the national consultation meeting and the closed private-sector focus group convened by the Ministry of Agriculture as part of the Green Agri-food Transformation for Economic Recovery (GATE) Project, funded by the World Bank and facilitated by Beyond Group.

The meetings took place on 13 February 2025, at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut.

The sessions brought together H.E. the Minister of Agriculture and a broad group of stakeholders, including private-sector actors across the agri-food value chain, sector clusters, donors, financiers, and investors, as well as representatives from the European Union and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Representing IM FNDNG, Edward Melki, Senior Investment Manager, contributed to the closed focus group discussion by sharing practical insights from an investor lens on how to translate national priorities into clear, investable opportunities. The discussion focused on strengthening the enabling environment for agricultural investment, advancing sustainability and food security objectives, and accelerating economic recovery by structuring high-potential opportunities into actionable investment packages.

IM FNDNG remains committed to supporting initiatives that crowd in private capital, improve bankability, and catalyze sustainable growth across Lebanon’s real economy sectors—particularly those with direct impact on resilience, livelihoods, and food systems.
