IM Capital participates in the “Digital Mashreq Forum” in Amman, Jordan
Under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in Jordan and the World Bank Group organized the “Digital Mashreq Forum”, June 29-30, 2019, at King Hussein Business Park – Amman, that served as a platform to discuss the role of digitalization in shaping the future of the Mashreq countries (Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq).
This two-day forum covered key streams including digital entrepreneurship, skills for tomorrow’s jobs, and the potential for Mashreq as an IT and Business Process Outsourcing destination. It brought together policymakers, international and regional businesses, startups, and investors to discuss policies, challenges, and initiatives to boost digital economies in the Mashreq region. Panelists shared their knowledge and experiences and provide an outlook and key recommendations for a new digital Mashreq in areas relevant to digital infrastructure, platforms, skills, payments, and entrepreneurship.
IM Capital was speaker at the “Boosting Digital Entrepreneurship in Mashreq” panel,discussing regional trends in entrepreneurship development, with entrepreneurs and ecosystem players (ISSF, iSME, Techwadi) players from the Mashreq region to discuss challenges and opportunities facing their growth in their home countries.
The forum showcased Mashreq as a regional hub for IT and Business Process Outsourcing and provide business networking opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors, and covered the following main streams: Country-level plans for digital economy development, digital skills needed for tomorrow’s jobs, potential for Mashreq as an IT/Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) destination, as well as business networking and knowledge exchange events.
