As part of IM Capital’s continuous efforts at providing solutions to support Lebanese startups and rising entrepreneurs and completing the ecosystem, the team is in the process of building the country’s next venture mentoring program, catering for early-stage ventures’ need for such services. In search for best practices, the team attended a three-day immersion program at MIT Venture Mentoring Services (MIT VMS) in Cambridge, on July 26-28, 2016.

The training aimed at preparing IM Capital’s leadership team to start and operate a formal sustainable team mentoring program. MIT VMS immersion team provided an introduction to the team mentoring model, engaging the team in basic activities and outlining critical success factors for new programs. IM Capital’s leadership team was also prepared to come up with strategic decisions for the launch of a pilot program. IM Capital received a certificate of completion of the MIT VMS immersion program and returned armed with much relevant know-how necessary for putting together a venture mentoring program tailored to Lebanon ecosystem’s specificities.
