The Joint Steering Committee Meeting between the new rising women angel networks Damya from Tunisia and Tiye from Egypt is organized and executed by GIZ, German Agency for International Cooperation.

This 2-hour event was held under the auspices of GIZ regional project: Financial Inclusion in the MENA Region (FIMENA).

Ms. Corine Kiame, Investment Manager at IM Ventures, was invited to be part of a 25-minute panel titled “Entrepreneurial Opportunities: Where do we stand in Egypt and Tunisia in respect of Women-entrepreneurship?”

The objective of this panel was to understand the situation for female-led startups in both countries (Egypt and Tunisia) but also in the wider Arab countries context. What challenges do they face but also what opportunities are there to unlock?
