Confideo Venture Mentoring was created in 2016 by IM Capital, under USAID’s MENA-Investment Initiative. Due to the successful MIT VMS methodology it has followed during the past years, Confideo VM is now expanding to serve parent organization Berytech’s recently launched “Impact Rise” program, which aims at empowering and growing social entrepreneurship in Lebanon and contributing to a sustainable economy. 28 new volunteer mentors were onboarded and trained in the MIT VMS methodology to support 16 social-entrepreneurship ventures.

During these difficult pandemic times, with all mentoring sessions having to be conducted virtually, the mentors have shown extreme devotion and the startups have affirmed how effective the team approach is, and how supportive the mentors are on both the technical and the moral support levels in helping them become more resilient during COVID-19. Confideo VM current pool of mentors reached 64 experts who have completed more than 640 mentoring hours with 54 ventures that have raised more than $10M of funding.
