The Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) celebrates every year the entrepreneurial spirit of its students and faculty. In alignment with its mission to foster an entrepreneurial culture, the Entrepreneurship Initiative at MSFEA hosted the MSFEA Accelerator Program demo day.

This year’s demo day took place during IDEAS 2024, MSFEA’s flagship year-end event. Spanning two days, IDEAS 2024 showcases the faculty’s achievements, including startups, advanced academic research, innovation, panel discussions, and more.

The demo day featured six startup teams competing for equity-free seed funding awards provided by MSFEA. Since October 2023, these teams have been participating in the MSFEA Accelerator Program, advancing their ideas from concept to minimum viable product (MVP) and preparing for pilot launches.

Antoun Mouawad, VP Investment at IM, took part in the jury panel, helping to select the top three teams to receive the prestigious MSFEA awards. The event was held in person at AUB on Thursday, April 25, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
