As a key player in the funding scene, IM Capital was requested to participate in the Third National Rural Tourism Forum organized by USAID-funded project Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development Project (LIVCD) and Beyond Beirut. The event, entitled “Rural Lebanon in Motion”, focused on the strategy for the development of rural tourism in Lebanon, exploring opportunities to stimulate growth of the rural tourism sector over the next three to give years. The event brought together over 100 experts and stakeholders from the Lebanese rural tourism communities and created connections with donors, investors, loan facilitators, and MF institutions. Dr. Anne Patterson, USAID mission director stressed on the importance of promoting the rural tourism sector as a key driver of the rural economy, as “it can provide rural residents with business and employment opportunities empower women and youth, spark an interest in the heritage and culture of rural areas, and increase community cooperation.”
