On June 29, 2017, L’Atelier du Miel opened a Workshop and Garden Café at the heart of Beirut, facing Mar Mikhael gas station. “The Workshop and Garden Café are the actualization of a dream we had in 2011 when we adopted our first beehives and started harvesting small batches of natural honey all over Lebanon” said Marc Antoine Bounassif, co-founder of L’Atelier du Miel. Since day one, the founders envisioned a healthier way for food production and its consumption. Today they promise not to only serve food for the body, but also for the mind. The workshop is open for clients to see and learn the making of L’Atelier du Miel natural products. The founders also believe that food is the reflection of nature, culture, and man’s work. The honey-based menu is made using farm-to-table ingredients at the Garden Café, all the while expanding your learning about the origins and benefits of every ingredient. “We promise to embark you on a culinary and intellectual voyage through the careful selection of unprocessed ingredients, and a gentle reminder to celebrate food and every community behind its making” concluded Marc.
