Their love for the Mediterranean Sea and clean waters brought them together! A team of 6 Lebanese swimmers from different backgrounds have undertook the challenge and swam from Cyprus to Lebanon, in 3 days (October 18/19/20, 2019)!

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Ms. Soumaya Merhi -the founder of Taqa (IM Capital portfolio company)- along with 5 other swimmers traversed 160 km from Cape Greco to Batroun, and raised awareness on an urgent matter: "Single Use Plastics are ruining our oceans and seas".

They have been blessed by a good weather, and great sea conditions, so they swam 4 km per hour. They had one objective: together as one you can achieve great things & overcome hardships.

On October 20, 2019, they arrived to shore and welcomed by a united front & even better than that: an outcry & rage for change for Lebanon.
