On the 4th of August 2020 at exactly 6:07PM the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, was hit by a double blast due to a neglected stockpile of 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse at the Port of Beirut.

The massive blasts registered as one of the strongest explosions worldwide and despite having it last a few seconds, it caused huge destruction, apocalyptic scenes, and a heavy human toll. To date, more than 150 dead, around 6000 injured, more than 38 are still missing & more than 300,000 have been left homeless.
