IM Capital at EBAN Porto 2016 Congress

As active members of MBAN and EBAN, IM Capital and the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIABML) participated in EBAN Porto 2016 Congress which took place on 25-27 May, 2016. The congress gathered more than 250 angel investors, accelerators, incubators, crowd funders, stock exchanges, venture capitalists, chamber of commerce representatives, etc... from all over the world to Porto, Portugal, for three days of building and financing the Scale-Up Eco-System of Europe. Best practices, experiences, and recommendations were shared by  from the UK Scale-Up Institute, MBAN (MENA Business Angel Network), ABAN (African Business Angel Network) and ACA(Angel Capital Association) USA. 13267890_1802064463354787_8434672245721225423_n EBAN Porto 2016 was all about scaling up startups in order for these to have a real impact on the economy. All aspects of Venture Finance were addressed, and entrepreneurs also took center stage throughout all three days with special training activities, pitching sessions, and workshops. Impact investing was also at the center of discussions as entrepreneurs and investors are being increasingly called upon by citizens and governments around the world to bring not only money, but smart money and impactful money to address societal, health, environmental, and geo-political challenges.
